Sara Evan was born in Boonville, Missouri on February 5, 1971 today; she is a famous and well-known Country Singer!
Her childhood years were spent growing up on the family farm with her other six brothers and sisters, her being the oldest girl. Music has always been in her life as she was singing in the family band by the time she was five. She was struck by a car in front of her home when she was eight and both of her legs were severely fractured. Life changed for Sara at this time, but she kept going and sang from her wheelchair was needed until her wounds healed. She used the money to help her parents pay her medical bills.
By the time Sara was sixteen she was performing in a nightclub close to Columbia Missouri where she performed for two years.
She moved to Nashville in 1991, where she met Craig Schelske who was also in the music industry. They were married in 1993, she signed with RCA and in 1997, and she released her first album, “Three Chords and the Truthâ€. This did not catch on. Her second album, “No Place That Far†which did not do anything either. It was not until she did a duet with Vince Gill that she finally had a hit. This would be her first number one single. The album has also been certified gold.
In 2000, she released her album “Born to flyâ€. Her first single was “Born to Fly†and hit number 1. This was her first number 1 hit until her single “Suds in the Bucket†which came out later on. Another single from the album “Could Not Ask For More†went to number 2.
In 2003, she released another album called “Restlessâ€. The two singles from the album that went to the top of the charts were “Perfect†which went to number two and “Suds in the Bucket†which went to number 1. In 2004, Sara became the most played female country singer because of singles like “Suds in the Bucket†and “Perfectâ€.
At the end of 2005, Sara released her album “Real Fine Placeâ€. Her single from the album “Real Fine Place to Start†reached the top of the Billboard Top Country Charts.
Sara and Craig filed for divorce in 2006 after 13 years of marriage. The children live with Sara in Franklin, Tennessee and include Avery Jack born in 1999, Olivia Margaret born in 2003, and Audrey Elizabeth born in 2004.
Sara is working on a Greatest Hits album that will be released in October of 2007. This album will feature all of her biggest and greatest hits from all her albums.
