When you hear the name Carrie Underwood, you know she was the winner of American Idol, Season 4! Coming down to her and Bo Bice, she won with over 45 million votes!
Singing in church and the school choir was the beginning of what is now an exciting career for Carrie, but little did she know back then what it would lead to. After graduating in 2001, she gave up on her dream of singing and enrolled at Northeastern University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She majored in journalism and wanted a career in broadcast journalism where she hoped to get a job at a local television news show. It was in her last year at college; she purchased a ticket and went home one weekend and saw on television where everyone was sleeping outside to audition in Cleveland, Oh for the 2005 season of American Idol. She was prompted by her family and friends to try out. The closest place for her to audition was in St. Louis, Missouri. Her mother said she would take her if she really wanted to go. The rest is history!
After winning she was whisked away for talk shows, news shows, and photo shoots. The best thing was of course, recording her first album, titled "Some Hearts". Carrie puts her heart and soul into her songs which you will be able to hear just by listening to them yourself. She has been blessed with what she has been given and she says she will never forget where she came from. Her hit single, is available for ringtones at many outlets where you can also find tickets for her next concert.
