Lee Brice was born in South Carolina. His love for country music was so large that he started to pick them out on the piano when he was around ten years of age. When he moved to Nashville in 2001, he met with Doug Johnson who offered him a contract. He has gained a solid following and has had a few cuts for some other famous singers as well including Jason Aldean, Cowboy Crush, and Keith Gattis. He has his own uniqueness, has made a positive impact on the country world, and will continue to do so with his newest hits.
When asked who has influenced his life he said, "Hank Williams Jr, John Mayer, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson. Everyone jokes and said if John Mayer and Hank Williams Jr had a love child, it would be Lee Brice!
Every year Country radio and Country Music come together in a special event called The 38th Annual Country Radio Seminar. This year many stars will be performing and Lee Brice is one of them. He will pop in and sing his hit, "She Ain't Right".
Another event every year is the Key West Songwriters' Festival. This is where the new artists get to have their songs heard. No song is sung as good as the original writer can sing it. This is where they share all their stories and heartaches to each other in a weeklong jam session. Lee Brice will be one of the performers sharing his song writing talents to the others that are present. There are many other attractions besides the performers including canine disc dog contest, rock climbing wall, and lots and lots of delicious food.
Lee Brice will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, May 11th. He was also given the Horizon Award at the Country Music Awards last week in April 2007. Lee Brice is a new country singer to keep your eyes toward and your ears listening.
