jack ingram

Jack Owen Ingram was born in Texas on November 15, 1970. Jack learned to love music throughout his childhood and once he decided to make it his career he went from one honky tonks to another along with a few dancehalls on the way all around Texas. He achieved many admirers and found several of his heroes along the way.

He gained several different labels under his belt before he partnered with his manager; George Couri of C. S. E. George Couri knew how far Jack could go and how much power his music had. They signed Jack with Scott Borchetta and Big Machine in 2005. This was the beginning of hits from Jack coming one right after another.

His first album hit stores in 2001 titled, “Electric”. This took five years in the making and he finally had a management that stood behind him 100% unlike some of the other labels.

Many of his songs came out while he studied psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He said music and psychology come from the same place so it is all about studying how people tick and the decisions they make in life.

He has finally hit the top. In 2006, he was touring with Brooks and Dunn and Sheryl Crow until it was delayed because of health problems on the part of Sheryl Crow. She was diagnosed with breast cancer.

His first single released, “Wherever You Are” became his first number one single. Then he released, “Love You”, which soon peaked at number twelve. Then around the end of 2006, he released a cover of “Hinders Lips of an Angel” and this went to #16 on the charts.

Quoting the title of his newest album, Jack said, "I've spent the last year introducing myself to a brand-new audience," he says. "And now it feels like it's beginning to take hold. I’m telling you…This Is It.”
