
Trevor Smith Jr. born on May 20, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York is known today as Busta Rymes, well-known rapper. He and his family moved to Uniondale when he was twelve years old and this is where he met other rappers, like jay Z and Notorious B.I.G. He graduated as a star basketball player from Uniondale High School.
He first began recording with Charlie Brown, Dinco D, and Cut Monitor Milo. The album was called "A Future Without a Past". This album started to become very popular. He made a solo album in 1996 called, "The Coming". He had three top selling singles off this album alone.
Then came, "Extinction Level Event" in 1998 and in 2000 he released his final album for Elektra, "Anarchy". Busta then signed with J Records started by Clive Davis. In 2001, his greatest hits album came out and he called it, "Genesis". In 2002, Busta released number six called, "It Ain't Safe No More". After its release, he joined Dr Dre\'s AfterMath Entertainment in 2004 and left J records. In 2006, he released lucky number 7. "The Big Bang" became his first number one album of his career.
Then in 2006 amidst his success, he was arraigned for charges of third degree assault after attacking a man who spit on his car. The judge adjourned the case. Then in another court case, he assaulted his former driver. The judge settled it with five days community service, two weeks of youth lectures and six months of anger management, and three years probation.
