terri clark

This Canadian country singer was born in Montreal, Canada on August 5, 1968. Her grandparents were musicians so it is no wonder she loves music. She was always seen with cowboy hats and she still to this day wears cowboy outfits.

After graduating high school, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee and began singing in Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. She was married in 1991 to the fiddle player Ted Stevenson and that ended in 1996. It was not until 1994 she made a record deal with Mercury Records. She then released her first single, "Better Things to Do", which made it to #3 on the Billboard charts. She then released a self-titled album that went gold, which had a couple songs she wrote herself.

Terri Clark went on to make four more albums, which all contained number one hits and her career was taking off to the big time now. She was a country star. All her dreams were coming true. Then to top it all off she married her tour manager Greg Kaczor on September 17, 2005. However, to her dismay they were divorced two years later.

She loves tattoos and she has gotten four of them. She has a maple leaf on her right shoulder. She love the design of Chinese writing, so she had some tattooed on her left shoulder blade and a Ying Yang sign on her left calf. Many people debated the meaning of the wording but she says it means Girl power. She also has a small rose on her right ankle.

Steve Warnier and her mother surprised her when she was performing at the Opry on June 12, 2004, by giving her an invitation saying she was being inducted into The Grand Ole Opry. Terri is the first Canadian woman to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. This has always been a dream of hers and she finally made it come true!

After her divorce from Greg Kaczor, she has gotten her life back on track and produced a wonderful album called "Life Goes On," due out on July 18. It has songs on it from when line dancing was a hit and its just pure fun she says.
