simple plan

Simple Plan is a French Canadian pop punk band that was formed in Montreal, Quebec, in 1995 and made up of high school friends Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Sebastien Lefebvre (guitar), Jeff Stinco (guitar), David Desrosiers (bass), and Chuck Comeau (drums), that originally called their band ""Reset".

At age 13, Reset achieved moderate success and toured Canada with punk musicians MxPx, Ten Foot Pole, and Comeau. In 1997, Reset released a debut tape entitled "Concern" that sold over 2,000 copies.

Reset suffered several changes in their lineup, but by the end of 1999 all the original members were together to revamp the group, now named Simple Plan.

Since then, Simple Plan has released two full-length studio albums, "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls" (2002) and "Still Not Getting Any..." (2004), although the band has also released a couple of live recordings, "Live In Japan 2002" and "MTV Hard Rock Live" that were released in 2003 and 2005 respectively.

From 2006 to the present, Simple Plan has been involved in several side projects and the band went on the Vans Warped Tour. Pierre Bouvier announced on his official MySpace blog that he was going to Miami in March of 2007 to work on the band's next album produced by Dave Fortman, who was the producer of Evanescence's multi-platinum selling albums.

Simple Plan donated profits to organizations such as RADD (Rock Against Drinking and Driving), MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), the MTV Asia Aid benefit, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but being unsure where the money actually went, they decided to create the Simple Plan Foundation in 2005, aimed to help teenagers with a variety of social problems.

Along with their charitable facet, Pierre Bouvier, Chuck Comeau, and friend Patrick Langlois own a clothing line called "Role Model Clothing" that the band's member wear on stage, mainly t-shirts with the legend ROLE MODE.

Patrick is the webmaster, photographer, and videographer behind Simple Plan, apart from marketing the Role Mode label and other Simple Plan's merchandising.

Simple Plan has also been associated to the ninth incarnation of cartoon Scooby-Doo, performing the song "What's New, Scooby-Doo?” aired for three seasons on Warner Bros. TV Network.
