Rasheeda is a rap singer and songwriter best known as the Queen of Crunk, who was born Rasheeda Buckner on May 4, 1982 in Atlanta Georgia. Rasheeda began her hip-hop career in 1998 as members of the female trio "Da Kaperz", who recorded one album before dissolving the group.

After signing a record deal with Motown Records in 2000, the next year Rasheeda released her debut solo album entitled "Dirty South", which major recognitions are the collaborations of Pastor Troy, Nelly, Kool Ace, and Kurupt.

"Dirty South" featured however a hit singles "Do It" and "Get It On", that was also produced as video music, but not hitting a commercial success, Motown dropped Rasheeda shortly after.

Her second album, "A Ghetto Dream" was released independently in early 2002, receiving many critical and controversial reviews due to her gangsta hip-hop style.

After the lack of luck to breakthrough with any success, Rasheeda began to work with other artists, including a guest appearance on singles recorded with Southern hip-hop artist Petey Pablo.

Although, she remains as a little known hip-hop artist, Rasheeda continues working on her own albums, signing to Blackground Recordsand the to D-Lo Entertainment/Imperial Records to release her third solo album "GA Peach" in the spring of 2006.

She has also collaborated with other female singers including R&B singer and songwriter Nivea Nash, and R&B girl band Cherish, a quartet of sisters which debut album "Unappreciated" received RIAA gold certification.

In the summer of 2007, Rasheeda released her fourth album, "Dat Type Of Gurl", including seven tracks from her previous album "GA Peach" and eight new tracks plus a single leading remix entitled "Got That Good (My Bubble Gum)", song that was available for digital download from iTunes on May 22, 2007.

Rasheeda is currently promoting this production and working with other Atlanta-based musicians, including R&B singer and songwriter Kandi Girl. Together, they have formed a girl group called Peach Candy as a joint venture with their record labels, producers, and managers, with a single featured on MySpace.

Rasheeda was also a cover girl in 2007, gracing SPATE Magazine in its June/July issue.
