little big town

Little Big Town was formed in 1999 with four members whose names are Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Rhodes, Jimmy Westbrook, and Phillips Sweet. This band breaks the rules, as they do not have a lead singer; they all share the vocal duties. They released their self-titled album in 2002, which did not sell. Two singles were released from the album as well. However, they did not sell either and the label dropped them.

After this, all four members went to work as telemarketers for a while to pay their bills. In 2005, they signed with Clint black's Equity Music Group label and then in October 2005 they released their second album titled, "The Road to Here". This album produced their first top 10 country hit title "Boondocks". Their follow-up single "Bring It On Home" gave them their first top five hit single.

The band was nominated for two Grammy's, which was the highlight of 2006 for them as a band. Then on Thanksgiving weekend, Roads remarried on an island in the Caribbean and is now a baby. Meanwhile, band members Karen Fairchild and Jimmy Westbrook were married on May 31, 2006, however this was kept secret until July, because they wanted to keep it private.

Little Big Town will drive thousands of miles just to make $500 because they are not in it for the money; they are in for the joy of singing together. They would be willing to do it for free if they did not have expenses. However, if they can cover their expenses and that's it, they will sing. All four understand one another and what each one wants in life. They pack their suitcases and even load them. The women say they have a special talent at packing that no other person has. Wonder if they can show us?
