Joanna Noëlle Levesque, but for her stage name she goes by JoJo. JoJo is a pop and R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, and an actress. She does all this and she is only 17. This girl is amazing. When starting her career, JoJo wanted to have a mix of everything on her album to keep everyone interested. Now a days, no one listens to any certain kind of music, so JoJo made sure to get a little bit of everything on the album for every type of fan.
In 2004, JoJo released her album "JoJo". The first single from the album was a radio smash hit called "Leave (Get Out)". She also released the song "Baby It's You", which features rapper Bow Wow. JoJo wrote and even co-produced parts of the album. JoJo released her last single from the album entitled "Not That Kinda Girl" in 2005, but it never even saw the charts. It was on TRL for one day and then it was never seen on the show again. Another single was released called "Anything" and the last single was "How to Touch a Girl".
Her second album "The High Road" was released in 2006. The album debuted at number 3 on the charts as of its release. The first single "Too Little, Too Late" was a smash hit for JoJo. This song got major radio play and hit the charts.
JoJo has said that her next album won't be released until she turns 18. This way her fans will get to see her more grown up on the album.
JoJo has made appearances on the Bernie Mac Show and also on American Dreams. JoJo also appeared as herself in the TV show "Romeo". In early 2006, JoJo played in the movie "Aquamarine" where she plays one of the girls named Hailey who discovers a mermaid. Also in 2006, JoJo was in the hit movie "RV" which starred Robin Williams. JoJo enjoys acting, but her heart is in singing.
