America’s Next Top Model is a reality television show. It premiered in May 2003 on UPN, and then in 2006 the CW began broadcasting the show. On the CW is it claimed to be the highest rated series.
The show is a competition where models compete to be the top model. Judges for the show are Tyra Banks, creator of the show, Jay Manuel, Nigel Barker, J. Alexander, and Twiggy Lawson. Former judges were Janice Dickinson, Nolé Marin, Beau Quillian, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Eric Nicholson.
Each season of America’s Next Top Model includes 9 to 13 episodes and begins with 10 to 14 contestants. One contestant is eliminated during each episode.
