Jose Antonio Cartagena or better known to us by his stage name, Fat Joe came to us from the Bronx, New York. Fat Joe was inspired by his Porto Rican and Cubin influences that surrounded him in his hometown.
In the early 90's, Fat Joe signed a record deal with Relativity Label. This is where Fat Joe came out with his debut album "Represent" in 1993. His first single off the album was "Flow Joe" and it peaked at number 1 on the billboards rap chart. In 2001, Fat Joe released his album " Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.)". This album created 2 major hits for Fat Joe, "We Thuggin" that featured R. Kelly. His second single from the album "What Luv" featured Ashanti and was one of the biggest hip hop songs of 2002. In 2002 Fat Joe released another album entitled "Loyalty" and had another 2 hits called "Crush Tonight" featuring Genuine and "All I Need". Fat Joe released another album in 2004 called "True Story" which gave his fans a number 1 smash hit called "Lean Back". Lil Jon remixed the song. Fat Joe then released his album "All or Nothing". The first single was "So Much More" and the second single was called "Get It Poppin" that featured Nelly. Fat Joes latest released in 2006 is called "Me myself and I" and the single from the album is called "Make It Rain".
Fat Joe has made a name for himself in the music industry and is still kicking out smash hits almost every time.
