Brittany Nicole Waddell who performs by the name Britt Nicole is a Christian Rock performer. Britt is from Kannapolis, North Carolina and stated singing at the tender age of 3 at her home town church, Truth Temple. In church, her brother and cousin were very involved with the various church programs that were shown on the Charlotte TV station, WAXN. In high school, she kept her music going by heading up the school chorus class.
Britt decided to turn down a scholarship with Belmont University of Tennessee to keep working with her music career. In 2006, Britt was signed with Sparrow Records. On May 22nd, 2007 Britt Nicole released her first album “Say Itâ€. Her first single “You†has made it to the Top 10 on the R&R charts.
The CD, WOW Next 2007, featured Britt Nicole’s song “Indestructibleâ€. Britt Nicole has been an opening act on the Winter Jam Tour with artists like Hawk Nelson, Jeremy Camp, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Sanctus Real. This was a huge accomplishment for Britt. She was also featured on the album, “Redemptionâ€, by Chirstian Hip Hop group GRITS.
You may have caught Britt Nicole singing on shows like MTV’s reality show “Newport Harbor, The Real Orange Countyâ€. The song “Sunshine Girl†was featured in the show for a small moment.
Britt Nicole recently released her second single “Believeâ€. Then she headed overseas in August of 2007, to shoot the video for the song as well as promote her album in Japan. There is no slowing down this girl at all! When she sets her mind to having the music life, she achieved her goa. Not only does she sing, but she has also been writing songs since the age of 16. She has co-written every single song on her album.
A song on her album called “Don’t Worry Now†talks about her own life struggles, weaknesses, and other life problems that she has gone through and that many people can relate to. This just shows how much she lives through her music and how it can also help others as well.
