Trace Adkins was born in Louisiana on January 13, 1962. Ten years ago, he became a household name. This construction worker made his move to Nashville and worked many construction sites during the day to make his dream a reality at night. Three years later Capital Records producer, Scott Hendricks, signed him after seeing him playing in a working man's bar. Then he knew he hit it big.
Everyone knows his upbeat, sometimes, slow ballads that have been hit after hit. He can go from rowdy to gentle in a heartbeat. His single "Badonkadonk" was added to cell phones 75,000 times in a six week period. The one thing through all his awards and such that he is the most proud of is that he is still with Capital Records. Still with the same label is an accomplishment for musicians. It makes him proud that they have gone through the difficulties together and have made the eight albums below.
Dangerous Man (2006)
Songs About Me (2005)
Comin' On Strong (2003)
Greatest Hits Collection, Vol. 1 (2003)
Chrome (2001)
More (1999)
Big Time (1997)
Dreamin' Out Loud (1996)
Having 20 singles and twelve were Top 10 hits! Trace became a member of the Grand ole Opry in 2004 and made a song called "Then they Do" which he dedicated to his five daughters. When he is not working, he is on his farm in Nashville getting his hands dirty. Look for him at Country Jam in 2007!
