Luke Bryan grew up in Leesburg, Virginia where he helped his father on his peanut farm. He loves the music biz and loves singing. His mother would make him sing George Strait songs whenever she took him to town with her. He was not much into going out and singing but he enjoyed writing songs. He ended up writing for many of the singers in Nashville before he even went there himself. Everyone kept at him to sing and move to Nashville, and he finally gave in. he was loading up his truck to make the move when they received word his older brother and one of his biggest fans was killed in an auto accident. He made the choice to stay home with his family during this tragic time and poured his sorrow into his songwriting. He enrolled into college and while in school him his band would play around campus every weekend or for parties but he still refused to move to Tennessee. He made an album with 10 songs but none was ones he wrote. After he graduated he went to work again for his dad, and finally his dad forced him to quit and go to Nashville. He finally did and arrived there on September 1, 2001. Within a couple months, Bryan had a record deal and released his first album on 2006.

He wrote Billy Currington's, "Good Direction's" which is climbing the charts. He knows what its like to be countrified since helping his father on their farm where their tiny town got there first traffic light two years ago. He said he is proud of it too. He now says the best days of his life have been since he moved to Nashville. It is not work to him playing in front of many people; work is what he did on the farm.

He knew he was not ready to move to Nashville before he did, and if he had moved sooner he probably would have went right back home. Fate has a funny way of helping you out at times and maybe his family was telling him something every time he thought of it. His brother's accident kept him home and that was probably what made it the most important decision he made. Family is the most important to him and when his father more or less fired him and told him to go, he knew then it was meant to be and deep down he did too. The rest is history now.
