Chris Daughtry was the fourth place finalist on the hit show American Idol in season 5. He is a happily married man to his wife Deanna and is a loving father to his daughter Hannah Price and his stepson Griffin Daughtry. With a very supportive family and after watching Bo Bice the last season of Idol, Chris decided to try out for American Idol himself. He has always loved the whole rock and alternative rock scene and wanted to bring something new to Idol. In his audition that did not air on Idol, he sang the song "The Letter" and gained his golden ticket to Hollywood. Through out season 5 of American Idol Chris had gained a big fan base around the world. He became the 4 th place finalist and was shocked to be voted off.
Ever since Idol, Chris has done very well for himself. His album "Daughtry" became one of the biggest selling rock albums. He has sold more albums than that of the winner of American Idol that season which was Taylor Hicks. His album reached number 1 on the billboard charts just beating out the Dreamgirls soundtrack. His song "Its Not Over" from his CD "Daughtry" has reached the top of the billboard charts. It is so popular that it is being played all the time on the radio.
Chris has made many appearances on shows such as the late show with Jay Leno, Live with Regis and Kelly and The Ellen DeGeneres Show and many others. Chris Daughtry has a big future ahead of him and his fans right beside him all the way. For American Idol Season 6 his song "Home" is the featured kick off song that is played on the result nights.
