
Christopher Allen Thomas Cummings, Born on August 11, 1975 in Norton, New Brunswick is an up and coming country singer better known as Chris Cummings.He started singing when he was five years old and he knew he wanted be a country singer. Chris released a CD and some how the president of Reprise Records, Jim Ed Norman got a hold of it and signed Chris in 1992. They gave Chris the good news by pulling him out of his math class at Sussex Regional High School. Chris was the youngest artist at 17 that Reprise Records ever signed.
In 1995, his first single was released titled, "I Waited" and made its way to the top five. In 1996, he released his debut CD titled, "Somewhere Inside". "Sure Enough" was the second single to be released and that went straight to number one. It was not long for the album to become certified gold. 1998 brought his second CD to the United States titled, "Chris Cummings." In 2000, Chris released a third CD titled, "Lonesomeville". The two singles off this CD are titled, "That'll Teach Her" and "No One Hurts Me More Than Me". These two singles both went to the top 10 in Canada. In 2002, came his fourth CD titled, "Oooh That Could Cost Him The Gold, Bob!" also bringing him three more singles. "Cowboy Hats", "Betty", and "Benefits of Doubt."
Chris did not feel he had enough control over his own career being under the Warner label so he left them. In 2006, he signed with Koch Entertainment and he helped produce this first album under the new label, which was released October 17 titled, "Who Says You Can't". He again had two more new singles, which were, "Dixie Beauxderaunt" and "For the Music". With these two singles, Chris is back on the Canadian top 30 chart.
Chris also taught himself to play the guitar, the banjo, and drums. He said maybe someday he would use all three in a song where he plays them all.
