Bones is a forensics and police procedural television series broadcast on the Fox Network. Since its premier on September 13, 2005, there have been 44 episodes in two seasons. The creator of the series is Hart Hanson. Barry Josephson, Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan are executive producers.

The storyline is based on the works of real life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, even though not all episodes did in fact occur in real life. The series received its title from Reich’s crime novel series. Each episode centers on an FBI case file that involves a mystery behind human remains that are brought to Dr. Brennan’s forensic team at the Jefferson Institution by the FBI Special agent Seeley Booth.

Main characters:

Temperance "Bones" Brennan portrayed by Emily Deschanel
F.B.I. Special Agent Seeley Booth portrayed by David Boreanaz
Colleagues of Dr. Brennan’s at the Jefferson Institution include:
Angela Montenegro portrayed by Michaela Conlin
Dr. Jack Hodgins portrayed by T. J. Thyne
Dr. Zach Addy portrayed by Eric Millegan

All of these characters have been seen in each episode. There are two other main characters which are Dr. Daniel Goodman portrayed by Jonathan Adams and Dr. Camille Saroyan portrayed by Tamara Taylor.

During the investigation, the forensic team discovers much about the remains, the cause of the death, and in some cases the actual murderer.

Not only does the show feature mysteries about human remains, it also delves into the lives of the characters while they are not at work.

Bones is brought to us from Josephson Entertainment and Far Field Productions in alliance with 20th Century Fox Television. Barry Josephson, Hart Hanson, and Stephen Nathan are executive producers.
