Lost is a television drama based on the lives of the survivors of a plane crash on a tropcial island. The first season began on September 22, 2004 for three season which included 69 episodes. Lost was created by J. J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof, and Jeffrey Lieber, and is filmed mainly on location in Oahu, Hawaii.

The storyline begins with a passenger jet flying from Australia to the United States which crashed in the South Pacific. In May 2007, the network announced Lost will continue until 2010 with a total count of episodes being 117.

Emilie de Ravin portrayed a pregnant Australian Claire Littleton.
Matthew Fox portrayed the lead role Jack Shephard.
Jorge Garcia portrayed Hugo "Hurley" Reyes an unlucky lotto winner.
Maggie Grace portrayed Shannon Rutherford a former dance teacher.
Josh Holloway portrayed a con man James "Sawyer" Ford.
Yunjin Kim portrayed Sun-Hwa Kwon the daughter of a powerful Korean businessman and mobster.
Daniel Dae Kim portrayed Sun-Hwa Kwon husband Jin-Soo Kwon.
Evangeline Lilly portrayed fugitive Kate Austen.
Dominic Monaghan portrayed an ex-rock star drug addict Charlie Pace.
Terry O'Quinn portrayed the mysterious John Locke.
Harold Perrineau portrayed construction worker Michael Dawson
Malcolm David Kelley portrayed Walt Lloyd
Ian Somerhalder portrayed Boone Carlyle chief operating officer of his mother's wedding business and step brother of Shannon.

Some original cast members were written out of the show and were replaced by other actors.

Television ratings for the three seasons were
Season one #14 with 16.1 million viewers
Season two #14 with 15.5 million viewers
Season three, which was split from October 4, 2006 to November 8, 2006 and again in February 2007 to May 2007, #17 with 14.6 million viewers
